We are proposing that Australians hold a Historic “Australian Independence Referendum” (“AIR”) on the 1st February, 2020 to address 5 critical outstanding issues that are preventing Australia from being a real democracy and are also preventing Australians from having a unified identity.

NOTE: We are NOT a political party and have no political affiliation. 

AUSTRALIAN HEAD OF STATE

We want Australia to become a republic with and Australian head of state by 2020. Australia cannot be a real democracy with real independence and freedom if our democratic elections can be overturned by a foreigner and our elected leaders swear an oath to act in the best interest of a foreigner and not in the interests of Australians.

AN “AUSTRALIAN” FLAG 

We want Australians to unify under a new flag that represents all Australians and what it means to be Australian.

AUSTRALIA DAY

We want to change the date of “Australia Day” to the 1st February – the day we vote to become a republic – and rename it “Independence Day”.

REMOVE RACISM FROM THE CONSTITUTION

It’s totally unacceptable in 2017 for the Australian constitution to allow the government to discriminate based on race.

RECOGNISE THE FIRST AUSTRALIANS

The road to reconciliation and unification includes many steps and one of the more important steps is recognising indigenous Australians as the first Australians.
